June 2

We visited the Badlands today on our way to the Black Hills.  This was my favorite place for photographs.  It had the most color in the rock formations, though the camera didn’t seem to capture it as well as I had hoped.

This next one is actually from yesterday, but I wanted to include it because I love it so much.  While in Chamberlain/Oacoma (on the Missouri River), we had dinner at a relative’s farm, on which is an old schoolhouse.  I dared to go inside (in flip-flops!) because I knew there would be some awesome photos from it.  I wasn’t disappointed, as you can see here.  You are looking at the broken chalkboard on the wall.

  1. The second photo is amazing! It was very inspiring. So much so I wrote a poem from the look of the room, I don’t know what the feel was originally of this room but it gave me a feeling and I wrote about it.

You can find the poem here! http://365dayspastjuly.wordpress.com/2010/08/05/cities/

I linked back to your blog,
Thank you so much for the inspiration.
You’ve helped push forward my own year long project.
